Meaning Theater is a scalable workshop originally created for young adults. Seeing the lack of critical thinking skills that arises from one's inability to see another perspective, Fell Cadwallader envisioned a process by which to address the deficiency. The result is this award winning* workshop.

Using a combination of theatrical exercises, historical research, readers theater and improvisation - Meaning Theater engages small groups in dynamic interactions that challenge their definitions of empathy, acceptance, diversity and encourages them to explore exactly how they arrive at judgements.

While the Internet stands as an example of the power of collected information (think Library - without walls or books or beating hearts to share a breath) tangible equivalents abound.

One such resource is Lapham's Quarterly. Published four times a year it explores a specific topic. Contributors span cultures, time and geography to provide unique & varied perspectives on the chosen concept.

It is a labor of love (as far as I can discern) and has been an invaluable catalyst for Meaning Theater participants.
