Story
origin 250-100 B.C.
From the Latin word historia, adopted by the Norman-French language as estorie. While on the path to become history in English usage, story broke off and became the word used to convey "an account of imaginary or real people and events told for entertainment." This remains its most common usage today.

Our Story
origin early 1960's
Meaningful Trainings is the visionary creation of Blair Jennings and Fell Cadwallader. In partnership for more than a quarter century, Blair and Fell weave a narrative arc that includes threads from the mundane to the wondrous, the sublime to the grand. A story not very different from many others, this dynamic distillation of history and experience serves as the basis for each unique and effective learning engagement designed by Meaningful Trainings.
That which makes us whole -- our commonalities and differences, individually and collectively -- represents the very heart of all Meaningful Trainings services. We believe the power of our story-- aka the accumulated experience, perspectives and knowledge we put to work within ourselves and with others--applies in any setting.

It would be understandable to think the story begins in a traditional manner.
We wouldn't fault anyone at all for imagining we are simply two, ordinary people.
Just like you're an ordinary person, right? Nope.
We are not ordinary. Nor are you.
Our stories are not ordinary. Nor are yours.
We present our website as an introduction to Meaningful Trainings. It's the story of "us" really.
Before "us" there was (and still are!) two individuals. What follows are a few excerpts from those unique stories.

J. Fell Cadwallader Jr.
Johnson & Wales University 1985, A.A. Culinary Science Fell had his first brush with death at (15) years of age. Surviving a burn injury to over (36%) of his body he went on a few more years until he found himself in a drug & alcohol treatment facility. Once again with one foot firmly on a slipping banana peel Fell dug deep, reached out and figured it out. All the while enduring the normal stigma experienced by those who look different (burn scars) and act different (AOD recovery) all the while being unique!
Introducing Fell in this manner lays bare his motivation for this work. He's grateful. For every opportunity. Every relationship. Every moment. Grateful for the chance to try. To witness. To assist. To converse. To be in awe. Grateful for the pain. The lessons learned. Grateful for the bounty of insights and questions that serve as the fuel for his creative contributions to each Meaningful Trainings resource. Experience & Talent
