More than likely you like a good story. To tell or hear matters little. So why do we like stories?
Beyond all the obvious reasons (interest, mystery, lessons) the crux lies in the reality that you cannot be anywhere but the present moment when either hearing or telling a story. Stray to far from "now" and you might miss a important piece. Start wandering and before you know it your lost. Or driven past your exit while fully engrossed in an audio book! So how does Story become part of The Box? Why is this timeless conveyor of all knowledge and learning so key? I'll let you decide. Read to a child. Better yet read to a bunch of children. As you read, steal a glance of them. Note their attention & interest. Now, how does "story" keep us in the moment? We look forward to hearing exactly how it works for you. Comments are closed.
